Dear parishioners,
In recent weeks many parishes across New York, began the 2008 cardinal's annual appeal. This charitable endeavor offers us the opportunity to reach beyond our parish family and to be a part of the entire Archdiocesan family. It allows us to give thanks for those blessings we have, and to demonstrate that gratitude by assisting others in our large Archdiocese in addition to Catholic ministries right here in the North East Bronx Vicariate. The theme of the Cardinals appeal is "sharing God's Gifts" Each day, we generously share our gifts through our religious education program in our schools and through our ministries. Please know that many of these good works including financial assistance to our local parishes and schools, preparation of our future priest, and care four our retired priest and religious, are possible because of the funding that comes from the Annual Appeal. Our parish goal of $22,000.00 is critical to helping the Archdiocese make available the program that are described in the material your received. It is my sincere hope that you read and reflect on these services and that you prayerfully consider your gift to the 2008 Annual Appeal. Perhaps you may be able to offer the same support to the Appeal you did in 2007 or a bit more. Also know any amount over our goals go back to Our Lady of Grace. I will be conducting a new appeal on the weekend of March 29th and 30th. Please know that how grateful I am for your support of our recent parish campaign. Your commitment to our parish community has been inspiring, but know that the needs of the Archdiocese remain as critical now as they ever have been. With that in mind, I ask that you consider being as generous to this effort as your means allow. Prayerfully best wishes may I remain.
